As you may have noticed, it’s been a while since there was some interaction on HW. What the heck was going on?

Sometimes regardless of how badly we want something or push to make or project, business, etc. a reality, it is still not safe from drawbacks, losses, or failures. If you starting a project or business, you will no doubt take into consideration the possibility that the endeavor may fail. However, it is how you recover from that failure that will be the measure of your triumph. We’ve seen this in the hero movies and in actual life.

Many great businesses and entrepreneurs have suffered great losses or got derailed on the journey. Take for example Elon Musk. Here’s a guy who had the audacity -some would say- to bring to market an electric car through his company Tesla. What is amazing about his story is that in 2008, Tesla was running out of cash and on the verge of bankruptcy. Think about the pressure he was under. Elon had to refocus his efforts and fight. It’s an amazing story, see him tell it here.

It can be disheartening to see your online business crumble to pieces after much effort.

After a major crisis or a distraction that pulls you away from your project, it may help that you take a break first and think things clearly and thoroughly. You might want to determine the causes of your setback. Did you take on more than you could handle? Was it because of the quality of your work? Was it because you lost focus?

When you have figured these things out, decide on how you can improve the next time around. You might want to find ways of managing your time better. If you believe that you cannot do the jobs on your own, try to recruit other reliable people and form a team.

When you stage a comeback, it can be hard to get that momentum going. The best advice is to pace yourself.

We are pacing…running a marathon, and not a sprint.
