What’s with the Name:
The word Harambee in Swahili means “pulling or working together”. When searching for a word that would encompass the vision for this endeavor, the dictionary, Thesaurus, etc were consulted. A Google search of various terms related to togetherness, unity, community produced many results, among them Harambee. The meaning and background of the word is a perfect fit for what this project is about.
